Miss Guided LX is a personal project by tour guide, Interpreter and storyteller AnnElisa L. Sgrazzutti
Resident in Lisbon since 2012, AnnElisa first entered the tourism industry as a ground operations manager for a tourism multinational company. Her deep passion for history and storytelling soon inspired her to step into a customer-facing role, where she has been proudly showcasing her favorite city and its hidden stories for over seven years.
In recent years, especially following the pandemic, Lisbon has undergone dramatic changes. For those working closely with tourism, and for the locals themselves, the city’s transformation is unmistakable. Once a hidden gem off the mainstream tourism spotlight, Lisbon now faces the challenge or balancing its growing popularity with the needs of its residents, as locals find themselves slowly losing their space in the place they call home.
Through Miss Guided LX, AnnElisa is committed to promoting a more conscious and sustainable approach to tourism, ensuring that both visitors and residents can continue to appreciate the unique spirit of Lisbon.
Ann Elisa’s academic background includes a degree in Language and International Studies, with a focus on History, Politics and Post Colonial studies. She later continued her studies in Management for the Arts and Culture markets.
Currently, she is expanding her expertise in Sustainable Development in Tourism in order to deepen her knowledge and commitment in promoting sustainable, conscious and ethical ways of traveling, learning and respecting heritages and cultures.

Our mission is to explore cities, museums, and natural landscapes in a conscious and ethical manner, actively working to reduce the impact of mass tourism. By supporting local businesses and promoting community-driven initiatives, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the damages caused by gentrification and the vital role of preserving local cultures.
Our approach to history is rooted in a post-colonial perspective, offering a platform for often-overlooked voices and narratives.
